Located 95 kilometers from Nairobi is 7 miles white water rafting section along the Tana River formed by series of rapids and calm waters where the tour begins with a short stretch of Class II and III rapids so that you can learn the necessary paddling skills, especially to first timers, who need to catch the basic skill to enable them navigate the waters safely. This is followed by a drift in still water that lasts about one hour, in this area surrounded by beautiful sceneries with huge trees along the river supporting more than 110 bird species .The last four miles begins with Class III rapids before heading into the first of three Class IV and Class V rapids known as Captain’s Folly, Can of Worms and Sphincter Flexor followed by smaller rapids all this done cautiously before eventually ending at a rush thrilling and nerve rending section characterized by a series of descents to conclude the thrilling experience.
