Day 1Mombasa / Tsavo East National Park.
You will head towards Tsavo East National Park on pick up from your beach hotel /Moi international Airport. On arrival you will check in and take lunch .After a short rest you will enjoy afternoon game drives in the sprawling park in search of the big five and other animals till evening when you return to your hotel. You will have your meals and overnight stay at camp or lodge.
Day 2Tsavo East National Park / Amboseli National Park.
After a pre breakfast game drive you will have breakfast and subsequently depart for Amboseli with a game drive enroute. On arrival you will have lunch, there after take a cat nap then embark on an afternoon game drive in this park famous for its huge elephants and excellent views of the towering Mt Kilimanjaro till dusk.
Day 3Full Day-Amboseli National Park
You are recommended to wake up early for a memorable experience in game viewing .Amboseli places you in an unprecedented position to view of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. After breakfast you may visit the swamp with its magnificent wildlife and also other awesome sceneries that Amboseli has to offer for the whole day. Amboseli National Park is located on the border with Tanzania, Kajiado District, Southeast Kenya and it Covers an area of 392km sq.
Amboseli lies immediately North West of Mt. Kilimanjaro, on the border with Tanzania offering excellent views of this towering gem as well as Mt Meru. You will encounter huge herds of mighty elephants, buffalos, warthog, and many bird species among the over 450 reported species.
Day 4Amboseli National Park / Saltlick Sanctuary.
The waters that run off Mount Kilimanjaro enable the apparently dry Amboseli, Kenya's first game sanctuary to support its huge wildlife population. Africa's greatest mountain hovers high over Amboseli, generally covered by thick clouds but appearing in all its great scenic beauty from time to time with best views witnessed early morning and evening when not cloudy.
You will enjoy early morning pre breakfast game drives to say bye to this iconic gem .After breakfast you will depart for the ever exciting Saltlick sanctuary for excellent game viewing arriving in time for lunch. After checking in, you will have your lunch and there after you will enjoy afternoon game drives with an excellent night game viewing experience through observatory chamber in the specially done bunkers next to the floodlit water hole. You will have your meals and overnight stay at camp or lodge.
Day 5Saltlick Sanctuary Taita Hills wildlife sanctuary / Mombasa.
You will enjoy dawn pre breakfast game drives. There after take breakfast then head for Mombasa where you will get to have a Mombasa city expedition before checking in to your beach hotel for overnight stay and dinner.
You will have your breakfast, spend the morning at leisure enjoying hotel facilities and optional beach activities .After lunch you will transfer to the Airport for your onward flight.
TTsavo National park measuring over 21,000 km sq, is the largest national park in Kenya and one of the largest in the world. Because of its huge size the park was split into two, Tsavo West and Tsavo East, for easy administration.. The two Parks are divided by Nairobi–Mombasa railway /road.
It makes for interesting and varied ecosystem with volcanic hills, four rivers, over 60 animal species and 1000 plant species. Tsavo East, across the highway, has rolling hills with Open savannah and light patches of bush, cactus like euphorbia trees and is home to large herds of elephant and buffalo as well as other members of the big five including the man eaters of Tsavo ,although difficult to find at times due to cheer size of the park. Major attractions include sites like the Lugards falls, swimming with the pygmy crocodiles in Lake Chala or exploring Lake Jipe by motorboat or canoe.
TAt the Galana River the elephants come here to spray, roll and wallow one another leaving completely thrilled in a marvelous show only witnessed at the tsavo. The game drives will take you in a search for the big five and other animals including the elephants , lion ,rhino ,leopard ,buffalo hippos waterbucks ,gerenuk ,waterbucks ,lesser kudu and crocodile not forgetting the over 400 recorded bird species.
Amboseli National Park
TAmboseli meaning ‘salty dust’ in Maasai language has large herds of huge male elephants with massive tusks. Amboseli gives an excellent view to the five different habitats ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with springs, the savannah and woodlands. One can also have firsthand experience of the authentic famous culture of the Maasai through an organized visit to the local villages. Amboseli boasts of the imposing Mt Kilimanjaro Africa’s largest mountain lying just over the border in Tanzania, but the most impressive views of this 400sq km snow-capped mountain are to be found in Amboseli Kenya side. With excellent views witnessed in the early morning the sight of Kilimanjaro hovering high above herds of huge elephants crisscrossing the plains of Amboseli in a file gives our clients a memorable life time experience. The park is home to many herds of wildebeest, zebra, impala and many buffaloes and hippos with the acacia forest supporting a thriving bird life and many small mammals.
Taita hills wildlife sanctuary
This is a privately owned wildlife sanctuary established in 1972 by Hilton international. Located in TaitaTaveta county approx. 220 km from Mombasa it covers an area of 28,000 acres (110kmsq).It is adjacent to Tsavo west National park and the Lumo community wildlife sanctuary. The sanctuary has two lodges Sarova salt lick and Sarova Taita hills Game lodge both under Sarova group of hotels. It is home to huge herds of African bush elephants, African leopards, Masai lion, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, hartebeest, impala, waterbucks, Thompson’s gazelle, lesser kudu, dik-dik and several species of smaller plains games and birds. While at Sarova salt lick lodges one can view animals while at the bar or lounge through the balconies and the specially built underground observatory camber next to the water hole. Animals come here to quench their thirst in the day or night.
