You will be picked up and briefed by our representative before departing and head for the Aberdares National Park through Thika famous for pineapple farming in central Kenya .You will arrive in time for lunch. After lunch you get to have some calm nature walks in the park and also enjoy watching game from the comfort of your rooms in the afternoon. Day 3Samburu National Reserve

This day you go for full day game drive in the reserve in search of the rare Samburu specials comprising of reticulated giraffe, grevy's zebra, the long necked gerenuk antelopes, Beisaoryx, blue flanked Somali ostrich, and vulturine guinea fowl. Samburu is also home to lions, leopards in the trees and plenty of other plains game including members of the big five. In between meals there is optional visit to the Samburu villages if clients so wish. You will have your meals and overnight stay at camp or lodge.

Tour Watch Highlights

Maasai Mara Game Reserve

This place is the main and most famous in Kenya for its wildlife. While here you get to see the big five which include elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino. Also you get to witness the migration of the wildebeest (8th wonder of the world) which happens annually in the months of July and late October. Maasai Mara has the largest population of animals in Kenya. Other animals include bat eared fox, spotted hyena, impala, elephants, hippos, grey jackals etc.

Lake Nakuru National Park

The park is found, 140km north-west of Nairobi, in Nakuru county rift valley province. It covers an area of 188 km2. Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake occupying an area of 62 km2. It is set in a serene landscape of surrounding woodland and grassland and marshy areas alternating with rocky cliffs and hillsides outcrops, acacia woodland covered with a Euphorbia forest on the eastern perimeter. Lake Nakuru was first gazetted as a bird sanctuary in 1960 and upgraded to National Park status in 1968. Climate ranges from Cold, Hot and Humid, Hot and Dry. Annual rainfall is 965 mm.

Major Attractions include: Flamingo (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds including a variety of terrestrial birds numbering about 450 species in total. Mammals: 56 different species including white rhinos.

View-points: Lion hill, Baboon cliff and Out of Africa and Hills like Enasoit, Honeymoon, Lion hill ridge are major attractions as well as Makalia Waterfalls and the Unique vegetation where About 550 different plant species are represented including the unique and biggest euphorbia forest in Africa, Picturesque landscape and yellow acacia woodlands.

Aberdare National Park

This place provides home for elephants, leopards, olive baboons, black and white Columbus monkeys, buffalos, black spotted hyenas, bushbucks and others. While here one can have a chance to have the rare sights like the serval cat, African wild cat, African civet cat and blue duiker. Activities include trout fishing, picnics and camping in the moorlands. For those who are into bird watching they can have a time of their life with over 250 species of birds in the park like the sunbirds goshawks, eagles, Jackson’s Francolin, Sparrow hawks and plovers.

Lake Naivasha

Lake Naivasha consists of beautiful terrain with papyrus swamps, forests and acacia woodlands. The park gets its water from the Gilgil and Malewa rivers supporting many animals and over 450 distinct bird species both residential and the migratory including the grey-backed fiscals, weavers, red-billed firefinchers, grey-capped warbler found at the high cliffs and the forests. We have other well -known birds which include the pelican, the cormorants and the fish eagles among the raptors. In the acacia forests you may catch a sight of the cuckoos, woodpeckers, hawks, shrikes and others. The lake supports animals like zebras, elands, waterbucks, and other grazers. Not forgetting the massive hippos and many warthogs

Tsavo East

At the Galana River the elephants come here to spray, roll and wallow one another, this kind of a sight is marvelous to the eye. While in Tsavo East one can have a look at the longest lava flow in the world. This park gives habitat to animals like elephants, lion, rhino, leopard, buffalo, hippos’ waterbucks, gerenuk, waterbucks, lesser kudu and crocodile. Not forgetting the 500 recorded species and the Lugards Falls.

Tsavo West

This park compared to its counter parts has a wetter climate with water gushing out from the under parched lava rock (Mzima Springs) and more mountenous feature and swamps like Lake Jipe and Mzima Springs. There are open scrublands which inhabits bird life like the corncrake and Basra Reed Warbler and also animals mammals e.g. Cape buffalo, leopard, hippo, black rhino, Masai lion, hartebeest, lesser kudu and Masai giraffe.

Mt. Kenya national park

715 square kilometers filled by the beauty of nature a lot of which you get to enjoy from the comfort of your suite. While here you can have the pleasure of climbing to the second highest point in Africa and have your breath taking moment. You will have the pleasure of having a good look at the pure lakes, mineral springs, glaciers etc. You will also have the pleasure of watching some of the endangered species of animals, high altitude adapted plains game and unique montane and alpine vegetation. While here you will enjoy activities like mountain climbing, camping and caving with the mountain’s rugged glacier-clad peaks.

Amboseli National Park

Amboseli meaning ‘salty dust’ in Maasai has very large herds of elephants. There one can have a view at the five different habitats ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. One can also have an experience of the authentic famous culture of the Maasai.

Saltlick

In this area one of the most eye catching features is the collection of the unusual structures that are placed in the way of elephants which are also round and conical roofs. These structures are raised high enough bringing about that enlarged vivid picture of a traditional African granary. They are linked with thin bamboo railings. They are raised high enough making sure they do not block the way of the elephants. While here one can view animals while at the bar or lounge through the balconies. Animals come here to quench their thirst in the day or night. In the main dinner 150 guests can be served at a time. Meals are served by buffet and have special meals cooked as per ones taste in some occasions.

Lake Bogoria

This is a gem of the Great Rift Valley famous for its alkaline waters with its steam jets and natural hot springs. While here you cannot help but see the complex pattern of constantly changing colors due to the characteristics contributed by both the twists of physics and geography of the area. Magnificent sceneries are witnessed from the hundreds of greater and lesser flamingoes feeding and nesting in this habitat making Lake Bogoria a hotspot for bird lovers. Lake Bogoria habitat supports many animals like forest hogs, buffalos, patas monkey, baboons and other animals. For the predators like the genets, caracals, servat etc can prey on the smaller animals.

Samburu National Reserve

Most famous Kenya’s wild animals are found here from the lion, leopards, buffalo, cheetahs, Gravy’s zebra hippos to the giraffe. The presence of River Ewasonyiro cutting across the reserve attracts more animals including the crocodiles. This reserve has its fame from the unique Grevy’s zebra, long neck gerenuk, BeisaOrynx and reticulated giraffe. Another source of its fame is due to the movie “Born Free” and as the place where the conservationists George and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness.
